So, if homosexualmale does what you suggest and says "Its not for me" and just walks away, then they are giving tacit approval for such things to happen, as everyone else is doing if they behave in such a way. And then over time, we get a much more horrible society than is already here. Look at how the western allies sit back while Russia brutally destroys Ukraine and kills millions of lives. They sat back with the Nazis too until it became too much. But by then many millions had died and colossal damage to countries occurred. Stay silent and reap the rewards of "not my business" attitude.
